S. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised those who love him.
James 1:12

My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
James 1:19-21

...because judgement without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgement.
James 2:13

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons know that- and shudder.
James 2:19

Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
James 3:10-11

But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have ency and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
James 3:14-16

Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
James 4:4

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you...
James 4:7-8

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "if it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."
James 4:14-15

Do not mearly listen to the word and so decieve yourself, do what it says.
James 1:22

O.
  • Perseverance= CROWN
  • Be quick to listen & slow to anger.
  • Humble yourself
  • Show mercy, not judgement
  • Pure words from mouth
  • Selfish ambition is from Satan
  • Do not boast
  • Choosing the world= becoming an enemy of God
  • Resist the enemy
  • Don't boast about tomorrow
A. All these verses are amazing! Learned so much. How can I follow?
I know that if I never give up, that there is a crown waiting for me. I need to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and not become angry quickly.
No favoritism! Mercy over judgement. It isn't enough to only believe in one God, even demons know that.
Cursing and praise shouldn't be coming from my mouth- only praise!
I shouldn't have selfish ambition, it is earthly. I cannot choose the world; or I am against God!
Resisting the devil and drawing near to God will solve everything.
Finally, my life is only a mist! I mist watch that I don't have selfish ambition and I'm not boasting about tomorrow. Whatever is happening must resist the devil, watch my mouth, listen, and give praise.
Mostly I must not merely listen to the word and so deceive myself, but do what it says. (James 1:22)
Work on saying:
"If it is the Lord's will, I will live and..."
