Facebook Frenzy

I could most likely write a book on how I feel about every status that pops up on Facebook, including my own. Countless times I have written something on my status and literally 5 minutes later I'll delete it, because I just wanna get something out and everyone might not care to read it. The bottom line is the expression that comes from updating a Facebook status, I'm a writer (obviously) so it is no question why I want to update my status a lot; I think in sentences that can eventually be put on paper- a writer is just programmed that way! Truth be told, I get annoyed with myself when I post a lot- I even look at the hours between posts and if they are less than an hour I'll delete them. Other people, not so much because I know how it feels to want to express myself with words. I enjoy posting quotes because others seem to like them too, and often times when I post something that everyone can relate to they enjoy that as well.

That's my end, let's talk about what I see on others' Facebook!
My first pet peeve:
When people say "No one cares": This sends me up in flames. Whether this is the only thing a status says or it follows something extremely rude. Look at the suicide rates and the amount of adolescent teens cutting themselves because no one cares! People actually end their own lives because no one cares. Now maybe that is a bit extreme, but the last time I checked my profile name said Elora King so I can post whatever I want! On the contrary, I can understand how someone would say no one cares to "I just took a crap", now honestly  no one really does care about that. It starts to bother me when one person gets annoyed with something that someone said and chooses to bring everyone else into it. By saying that no one cares, the person receiving that rude comment feels gained up on, not only that but it is just flat out RUDE.

When people say "No one likes you": Along the same lines as the previous one, the victim feels gained up on and the jerk-face making the comment feels the need to take someone down by saying something so hurtful. Now, this comment is SERIOUSLY the most stupid way to hurt someone, I consider it a cop-out because it is literally impossible for no one  to like one person. JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THEM DOESN'T MEAN "NO ONE DOES"!

It seems sort of silly, but when someone says "I hate when people post every 5 minutes on Facebook" and then 10+ people like it...the person who does update every 5 minutes feels victimized or bullied whether it is directly toward them or not.
An example: I posted something funny, I had said "I love when people mistake me for Megan Fox", now I would have to be blind or totally insane to actually mean that but instead this snotty girl decides to say "wtf? Megan Fox is beautiful!" Pretty much didn't hurt all that bad until 3 other people liked her comment!
Sheesh.

I would be flat out lying if I didn't say other people's posts bothered me! I get annoyed with someone's status is when they are venting their own feelings and they choose not to speak for only themselves. I definitely get annoyed when people say: dis, dat, and da. Instead of this, that, and the. Anything that makes someone look illiterate is majorly irritating. It isn't that difficult to type complete sentences and use puntucation! People read it better and you've been in school for quite a while for crying the heck out loud!
I can't say I am a fan of the song lyrics that most guys most about sex, drugs, "pussy", fights, and other junk like that either...

But guess what?

It is their Facebook, not mine.

I'm not gonna sit there and try telling them what they can and cannot post! Furthermore, I'm not gonna say I that no one cares just because I don't. Do you think I care that you just broke up with your boyfriend? If you're not a close friend, probably not, but I'm not gonna update my status saying "no one cares that you and your boyfriend broke up, stop posting about it!" because someone said: "my boyfriend and I broke up".

So aside from people just being flat out rude because apparently they have balls on the computer but not in person, I see Facebook as a free way for everyone to connect, relate, and express themselves. Tainting it with words like "no one cares" is retarded. What if someone said no one cares to you?
Everyone posts things for a reason, everyone has issues in their lives. If saying something stupid on Facebook helps them mask it or deal with it then that is what they choose! Don't bring your judgement onto Facebook, because in reality no one cares that you don't care!
